 nstitute for the Study of Canada.\nThis event will commemorate the 10th an
 niversary of the Women in\nHouse Program. We look forward to seeing you th
 ere.\n\nA groundbreaking student initiative\, the Women in House program w
 as\ncreated in 2001 by 91黑料网 students Galit Dobner and Chi Nguyen.\nThis 
 one of a kind program offers female 91黑料网 students a two-day\ntrip to Ott
 awa\, during which participants take a tour of\nParliament\, hear individu
 al politicians speak attend panel\ndiscussions\, and it also provides stud
 ents the opportunity to spend\na day shadowing a female MP or Senator. The
  program aims to foster\nin participants an interest in pursuing a career 
 in Canadian\npolitics\, and more importantly\, in demonstrating that the o
 bstacles\nto achieving these goals can be overcome. By spending a day with
  a\nfemale MP or Senator\, students acquire an inside view of political\nl
 ife\, a perspective unattainable in a traditional classroom\nsetting. The 
 program is fully subsidized and non\npartisan.\n\nIn this light\, the goal
  of this 10th Anniversary conference is to\ncelebrate and commemorative th
 e crucial role this program has\nplayed in inspiring and empowering female
  91黑料网 students by\nencouraging them to get more involved politically. It
  also serves\nas a one of a kind opportunity to inform students\, on a lar
 ger\nscale\, about women鈥檚 chronic under-representation at all levels of\n
 government. It will be an early evening conference\, featuring some\nof th
 e most prominent women to have served in Canadian politics. An\nevent not 
 to be missed!\n
