 rsality of human rights. Panellists will address how\ndiverse societies ar
 ound the world conceptualize human rights and\ndeal with the implementatio
 n of human rights policies and norms.\nThe conference also aspires to iden
 tify alternative frameworks that\ncan facilitate the conceptualization of 
 and help find solutions to\nglobal human rights issues.\nSome of the core 
 themes of the conference include the power of\neducation to spur and comba
 t hatred\; the role of the media in\nshaping public opinion and public pol
 icy on human rights and\ndiversity issues\; religious diversity\; the mann
 er in which real and\nperceived security threats have changed the global m
 indset\; the\nrole of human rights institutions.\nAs a centre for human ri
 ghts located in a leading Canadian\nuniversity\, and as strong believers i
 n the ethos of inclusive\ncitizenship\, we are committed to exploring issu
 es of indigenous\nrights and justice.\nThis activity was certified for 14 
 hours of continuing legal\neducation to members of the Quebec Bar\, as per
