 colloquium that will explore the interactions between innovation\nand comp
 etition law from a variety of perspectives.\nIn an economy where the capac
 ity to innovate is conceived of as\nthe driving force of today’s economy\,
  intellectual property rights\n(IPRs) have generally been presented as bei
 ng instrumental to such\nprogress. In the last decade however\, critics st
 arted to see in\nIPRs a potential for abuse\, causing prejudice to fair co
 mpetition\nand consumer welfare. CIPP’s colloquium will present a unique\n
 opportunity for students\, policy-makers\, scholars and legal\npractitione
 rs to learn about the intersections between innovation\nand competition la
 w in today’s rapidly-changing markets.\nInternational speakers include\n\n
