One of the\nworld’s foremost experts on soci al policy will discuss\ninternational evidence on how to deliver social pr ograms more\neffectively\, and the relevance of this research to Canada.\n Wendy Thomson\, BSW’76\, MSW’77\, joined 91ºÚÁÏÍø in 2005 as Director\nof th e School of Social Work and Professor of Social Policy. Prior\nto coming t o the University\, she had a distinguished career in the\nUnited Kingdom\, including time as Tony Blair’s Chief Adviser on\nPublic Service Reform. S he continues to counsel governments in\nCanada and internationally on soci al policy. In addition\, she\nserves on the boards of L’agence de la santé et des services\nsociaux de Montréal and the 91ºÚÁÏÍø Health Cen tre.
