Get ready Diploma in Accounting students for the 2010 CA Recruitment Campaign!
The Accounting Recruitment period officially starts September 1st. CA firms will be on campus for both summer 2011 internships and full-time positions for January and September 2011. Mark your calendars the dates have been set!
- Sept. 1st: Accounting Recruitment and MAS registration begins.
- Sept. 1st – 22nd: CA firm tours, information sessions and workshops.
- Sept. 15th: MAS Annual Recruitment Cocktail (A must attend event!).
- Sept. 23rd: CACEE form deadline
All recruitment events are advertised via myFuture. All Cont. Ed. students who want to participate in CA Recruitment must be registered with CaPS for the Fall 2010 session by paying the $52 student service fee in person at the CaPS office (Brown Bldg, 3600 McTavish St., Room 2200) in order to participate in the September campaign. The CaPS fee entitles you to all activities, workshops and specialized programs provided by CaPS.
Become a member of MAS. The fee to sign up for MAS is $20 which includes the cocktail. (Becoming a member of the 91ºÚÁÏÍø Accounting Society (MAS) is a separate process) - they will be tabling in the lobby as of the first day of school.
Firm events taking place between Sept 1st and 8th are now viewable in myFuture and ready for sign up. All other events will be viewable as of Sept 1st.
Consult the MAS website for the calendar of events, the 2010 procedures as well as updated information on the CACEE form. It's definitely time to buy that agenda and start planning your month of September.

Quick tips:
Take advantage of the summer sales! The dress for interviews, cocktails and firm tours is business formal. When you register for MAS be sure to wear a clean shirt and brush your hair for the MAS photo that will appear in the booklet going to the CA firms.
Familiarize yourself with the CACEE form as this is the standard application form used by most Quebec CA firms and some out of province firms. The form can be found at

Start researching CA firms. This year looks to be a competitive one – do your homework and have something to say about each firm that you intend on applying to. Do not discount the value of small or medium sized firms!
