A compa ny that thinks differently to solve problems\, make progress\, and deliver meaningful innovations.\n\n \n\n\n\nThis presentation will demonstrate ho w a career at Medtronic can look like\, presented by our esteemed speaker: \n\n\n Richard Jonkers\, PhD (Senior Reimbursement Project Manager\, Medtro nic)\n\n\nRichard completed his education in Biomedical Engineering at Ein dhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. He is the (co)author o f 14 articles published in international\, peer-reviewed journals\, stemmi ng from both his MSc thesis\, which analyzed the effects of physical activ ity status on human skeletal muscle tissue characteristics\, and his Ph.D. \, where he continued this research by expanding the focus to different mo dels of insulin resistance in both pre-clinical and clinical studies. Upon completion of his Ph.D.\, Richard began working as a Clinical Research Sp ecialist for the Endovascular Therapies division of Medtronic Bakken Resea rch Center in Maastricht\, the Netherlands (NLD). In 2013\, he moved to Me dtronic Canada\, where he was the Medical Science Advisor in the Diabetes division\, and now holds a position as Market Access & Reimbursement Progr am Manager in Canada.\n\nThe MedTech Talent Accelerator is a national trai ning program to launch the next generation of industry-ready talent for th e Canadian Medical Technology sector.
