 iversity and holds the Canada Research Chair in International Migration. H
 is research highlights the importance of family dynamics and the inter-gen
 erational transmission of culture and socioeconomic characteristics. Takin
 g seriously that every immigrant is also an emigrant\, he examines migrant
 s’ cross-border ties and how settlement reconfigures these ties. Taking a 
 comparative view\, he studies the diversity migration engenders\, and the 
 policies and politics emerging in response.\n\nAaron Erlich is an Assistan
 t Professor of Political Science at 91ºÚÁÏÍø. Dr. Erlich's resear
 ch interests lie in democratization and democratic development. Much of hi
 s research addresses the role that information plays in developing democra
 tic polities. He is also interested in advancing quantitative methods to m
