Join the Department of English for "An Archive Fever", a talk by Professor Patrick Anderson

 (UC San Diego) will discuss his most recent book, The Lamentations: A Requiem for Queer Suicide, and the intimate, sometime impossible-to-bear relationships between queer archives and mortality.

Patrick Anderson is Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication at UC San Diego, and a 2023 Guggenheim Fellow; he is also faculty affiliate of Critical Gender Studies, Ethnic Studies, and Native American/Indigenous Studies. He is the author of three books — So Much Wasted (Duke, 2010), Autobiography of a Disease (Routledge, 2017), and The Lamentations: A Requiem for Queer Suicide (Fordham, 2024) — and the co-editor (with Jisha Menon) of Violence Performed (Palgrave, 2009).
