Gender\, race \, class\, and other social identities render Indigenous and Black women m ore susceptible and vulnerable to a web of inequalities that inflict viole nce on their bodies\, lands\, and communities\, including environmental ra cism. In response\, Indigenous and Black women have been leading grassroot s environmental justice movements for decades to challenge the legal\, pol itical\, and corporate agendas that sanction the presence of poisons in th eir communities. In t his presentation\, Dr. Ingrid Waldron will examine t he socio-political factors that expose these women to the disproportionate social\, ecological\, and health impacts of environmental racism in their communities. Dr. Waldron will also call attention to the transformative h uman agency of these women by illuminating their legacy of grassroots mobi lizing and activism against environmental racism.\n DTSTART:20251111T213000Z DTEND:20251111T230000Z SUMMARY:2025 IGSF Public Lecture with Dr. Ingrid Waldron URL:/arts-internships/channels/event/2025-igsf-public- lecture-dr-ingrid-waldron-366871 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
